Project 180 Outreach at Virginia park impacts the community

Never Stop Dreaming

Stay Focused Ministries partnered with other Project 180 organizations May 17th to help bring community resources, free food, games, face painting, snow cones and a day of family fun. Stay Focused heard of one story in particular that made an impact in many lives that day. Previously Manuel met and befriended an 8th grade boy who lost many family members he was close to and had a father who is incarcerated. Manuel asked him to come to the event to hang out, show off his bike and be around people who care a10390270_643948165691325_7495379357145902825_nbout him. The young man told Manuel he wanted to share something with the students. He shared his father told him he wanted no relationship with him. This young man told the other kids at the park that “just because one person is bringing you down and you don’t think anyone loves you, there are many people who love you, care for you and want to help you succeed.” This young man has found some peace with his situation through Stay Focused Ministries and his relationship with Manuel Carrizalez. We see hundreds of children each week who are hurting like this young man was hurting. All these children need is for someone like you to believe in them. If you would like to get involved and help make a difference in a child’s life, call our office at 661.322.4673 or give a monetary donation to support the cause.

Story Update: someone was so moved by what they heard this young man share that they came to The Stay Focused Ministries office and volunteered to mentor him. They will meet and begin a mentoring relationship at the end of the month. We want to thank God for bringing someone into this young man’s life to encourage him and mentor him.
